This year I’ve been lucky enough to be asked by many great brands and tourism boards to act as their official Ambassador, and now I have another exciting Ambassadorship to announce!
My endless trips to Africa (10 countries and counting!), slight obsession with South Africa and my love of animals, safaris and the great outdoors has led to one of my most exciting partnerships to date. I’ve been asked by Yellow Zebra Safaris, a luxury and adventure travel company specializing in African safaris, to be one of their official Blogger Ambassadors!
While getting asked by any safari company would have been exciting, getting asked by Europe’s Leading Safari Tour Operator and a multi-award-winning company that has even featured in National Geographic is somewhat of a dream come true. Yellow Zebra Safaris are a leader in their field, organizing safaris for groups, couples and even solo travellers (that’s ME!) all over East, Central, and Southern Africa.
Here’s a little video from one of the owners to give you more info about the company and why they’re the best at what they do!
Competition: Win a safari to Tanzania!
As part of my role as Ambassador, I’m going to be launching an incredible competition that is open to all my followers and readers who blog – for the chance to win an all-inclusive safari to Tanzania. While I have run lots of great competitions on here in the past, including return flights to Iceland and a trip to Budapest, this is, without doubt, the most exciting competition giveaway I’ve ever worked on.
Here’s your chance to win a safari to Tanzania with Yellow Zebra Safaris, staying in some of the most beautiful game lodges in the world. You’ll be travelling there at a very good time – during the wildebeest and elephant migrations in East Africa. This is one of the most spectacular wildlife occurrences in the world, and few people are lucky enough to witness it. For more details on the competition and how to enter, click here.
Tanzania is one of my favourite destinations in the world and has so much to offer the visitor. It’s also known as one of, if not the very best, places to go on safari in the world. We’re talking about going on safari to the Serengeti National Park, home to the Ngorongoro Crater, Mount Kilimanjaro and of course the annual Wildebeest Migration. A safari in Tanzania would be a trip of a lifetime – one you will most definitely never forget.
Some of my very best travel stories come from my days travelling in Africa, be it the two months I lived in remote Kenya, my epic Cork to Cape Town trip with my friend Ian where we got stranded in Cairo for almost 3 weeks or my days lounging at beach bars on the tropical island of Zanzibar off the coast of Tanzania.
I’ll never forget the very first safari I went on, when I was just 18 years old, and I’m sure whoever wins this trip will never forget theirs! I was in South Africa on my gap year and my friends owned a summer house inside a private reserve next to Kruger National Park. They had just built an outdoor hot tub on the roof and filled it the day we arrived, and when we woke up we saw two giraffes stretching their long necks up over the roof and drinking water out of the hot tub as if it was their private water fountain!!
Next thing I know, after opening the window to get a better look, some cheeky monkeys have jumped in through and started causing havoc in the bedroom! Monkeys, my dear friends, are NEVER your friend when on safari!! The term ‘cheeky monkey” had to come from somewhere!
More competition details to follow but the main thing to note is that it will begin on October 1st and you’ll see more about it on my Instagram and blog Facebook page. In the meantime, check out Yellow Zebra Safaris to see what could be in store for you…I can’t wait to officially launch it and hopefully plan my own trip back to Africa for next year.
